How we handle your data
Last updated: February 23, 2026
1. Introduction
hakonote ("the Service") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data in the Service and our browser extension "hakonote Autofill" ("the Extension").
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information: account information (email address, name), inventory and listing data (product details, photos, listing drafts, transaction records), usage data (login times, feature usage), and payment information (processed through Stripe — we do not store card details).
3. Browser Extension Data Handling
The hakonote Autofill extension uses listing draft data (product names, descriptions, prices, photos, etc.) created in hakonote to auto-fill listing forms on marketplace websites. The extension processes data directly in the browser and does not transmit data to external servers. The only data the extension stores is user preferences (auto-submit default setting, debug log toggle) via chrome.storage.sync.
4. How We Use Information
We use collected information to: provide, maintain, and improve the Service; generate listing copy and price suggestions via AI features; track inventory and listing status; provide customer support; and analyze service usage patterns.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: WorkOS (authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Cloudflare (hosting and data storage), and OpenRouter (AI features). Each service has its own privacy policy.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on Cloudflare infrastructure. All communications are encrypted via HTTPS, and multi-tenant isolation strictly prevents cross-account data access.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to: access and review your data, correct and update your data, and delete your account and data. For any of these requests, please contact us at support@hakonote.com.
8. Cookies and Local Storage
The Service uses cookies to manage authentication sessions. The browser extension uses chrome.storage.sync to store user preferences.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
10. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated as needed. If significant changes are made, we will notify you via your registered email address or through in-service notifications.
11. Contact Us
